Chin Implant Recovery and Rhinoplasty Recovery, How Many Days Do You Need
Plastic surgery on the nose, chin, forehead and other areas, whether surgery or reshaping to add definition to the face, needs time for the body to recover and for wounds to heal. Many people think they will look good as soon as surgery is finished, but that is not quite the case.
After facial surgery, how much swelling and bruising you get depends on each person’s body, so your body needs time to recover. This period is your recovery, when you avoid some activities and foods and follow your surgeon’s advice carefully.

Resting so that wounds can heal helps you get the result that was planned and lowers the chance of infection, inflammation and other unexpected risks. Recovery is therefore very important after plastic surgery.
How Many Days to Recover After Double Eyelid Surgery
Double eyelid surgery involves an incision in the eyelid to make the eyelid crease clearer, and it can also help widen your field of vision. After surgery, rest for at least 7 days (depending on the technique, and swelling and bruising depend on each person’s body). Follow advice carefully during recovery. The eyes gradually settle within 3 to 6 months.

Precautions After Double Eyelid Surgery
- Look at screens as little as possible, or if you cannot avoid it, rest your eyes every 30 minutes
- Avoid wearing contact lenses
- Do not pick, scratch or touch the eye area
- Avoid alcohol, smoking, spicy food, foods traditionally avoided after surgery in Thailand and seafood for at least 1 month
- Keep the wound away from water for at least 10 days or until the stitches are removed
- Wear sunglasses whenever you are in sunlight
- Sleep with your head raised on high pillows
How Many Days to Recover After Rhinoplasty
After rhinoplasty or other nose surgery, the surgeon places a nasal splint on the nose for at least 7 days to protect it from knocks, reduce swelling and help the nose keep its shape. If you need to go to work, take at least 3 to 5 days off so the nose can settle and does not shift.

When can I wear make-up after rhinoplasty? After rhinoplasty, keep the nose away from water for the first 1 to 14 days. It is recommended that you wear make-up after the stitches are removed. If you need to wear make-up before then, avoid the area around the nose and keep it light, to stop dust and chemicals getting into the surgical wound.
The Nose Shape Takes at Least 4 to 12 Months to Settle (Depending on Each Person)
- 60%, the internal and external structures settle down within 4 to 6 months
- 80%, the nose shape starts to look clearer at 8 months
- 100%, the nose has settled and the shape no longer changes

How Many Days to Recover After Forehead Augmentation
After forehead augmentation, rest for at least 7 days and keep the bandage on for another 7 days. During this time, follow your surgeon’s advice carefully on cleaning, not touching your forehead for at least 1 month, eating and other self-care.

How Long Chin Implant Recovery Takes
After chin augmentation, the chin usually has swelling and bruising for about 7 days (depending on the technique and each person’s body). Chin augmentation using the Real Locking technique by surgeons at S45 Clinic leaves a small wound and gradually settles within 18 days.
As well as recovery after facial surgery, surgery on other areas also needs recovery time, such as breast augmentation.

Self-Care After Plastic Surgery
- Clean the area correctly and gently, and keep the wound away from water
- Use cold compresses to reduce swelling and warm compresses to help blood circulation
- Sleep on your back so there is no pressure on the wound and to reduce inflammation
