Overfilled Face and Facial Overfilled Syndrome, When More Is Too Much
Loving your own face and wanting to look good all the time is not unusual, but wanting too much can also become harmful and change your life.

Dermal filler injections are used to correct concerns with the face and body shape, and some conditions caused by illness or other problems. We often see people who have more product injected than is appropriate, because they want to look the way they would like. If you add too much, or too often, the face may become misshapen and unattractive, and you may develop a medical condition. This is called Facial Overfilled Syndrome, or an imbalance after aesthetic treatment.
What Doctors Often See in People With Facial Overfilled Syndrome (FOS)
- Incorrect filler injections or errors in calculating the amount of product, as too much can make the area swollen and misshapen
- Low-quality or substandard products
- The patient insisting on large amounts, when it is better to wait for the result to settle and for the doctor to assess you before the next treatment

Doctors often advise patients to stop, but when we decline to treat them, some go elsewhere for more, and a face that already looked good no longer looks the same, attractive or in proportion. So we often tell patients who are starting to show this condition to stop once they are happy with the result, because carrying on may damage the shape of the face, and redoing or correcting it is difficult, it is hard to get back the previous look and the cost is very high
